Welcome to The Orchard School PTA

The Orchard School PTA is made up of parents and staff at the school; when you join our school you automatically become a member. We are a registered charity and add around an extra £15k to the school each year through our fundraising.

Every penny the PTA raises goes directly to the school, benefitting our children and helping make our school an even better place to learn, make friends and enjoy their school experience.

The PTA can be contacted through theorchardpta@gmail.com or through class reps. We also welcome everyone at our in person meetings, which are usually held in September, November (our AGM), January and May.

Fundraising Summary 2023 - 2024

Currently the PTA are supporting the development of the school's learning space by raising funds for a garden pod which will be used by children across the school. The garden pod will be a multi-functional space that addresses various educational needs, from individual interventions to group or whole class activities. This investment will enrich the learning experience for all children and contribute to a more dynamic and effective educational environment.

There is never a shortage of requests for new equipment, all things that benefit the children at The Orchard, so our fundraising efforts continue. For the PTA to be a success we need parents to be involved. How can you help?

Please volunteer at events, whether to set up, clear up or man a stall for an hour. In the past few years we have hosted:

a Leap-a-thon where the children had a great time leaping on a bouncy castle for sponsorship from friends and family.
A break the rules day where the children could pay to break 10 rules they usually have to follow at school!
Mothers Day and Father's Day Golden Ticket chocolate bar sales
Krispy Kreme doughnut sales and year group bake sales
Easter Egg hunts
Discos for Halloween and Easter where fancy dress is encouraged for an hour long fun with a DJ and games

Contribute to the Christmas and Summer Fairs; bottle and chocolates on the mufti days, lucky jars and 2nd hand goods are also important. Can you help with other donations and prizes, or put us in touch with people that can?
Bake cakes for the cake sales and bring a donation to buy some! All money raised from cake sales is given directly to the teachers of that year to buy extra resources for their classrooms.
Come to the PTA meetings, we welcome fresh ideas and want everyone to feel involved.

You can book bags and school caps from the school office.
